Prof. Dr. Uwe Hunger has extensive expertise in political science, particularly in migration and integration policy. His teaching spans several degree programs, covering topics such as European migration policy, migration and global justice, and the political dimensions of intercultural relations. He supervises PhD candidates in migration research. He has led numerous externally funded research projects supported by institutions such as the DFG, EU, GIZ, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, focusing on areas like migration and development, diaspora engagement, and skilled labor migration. In addition, he has been active in scientific evaluations, policy consulting, and project-related research management.
