Skills: Dr. Laura Doornkamp completed her PhD on Gender Representation in Education in June 2023. She is an expert on Representative Bureaucracy (public administration) and the role of Gender Stereotypes in the education sector (social psychology and education research). She conducted experimental research (a vignet experiment and a natural experiment) among students and teachers during her PhD and she collected and analyzed a large school register dataset. After her PhD, Laura briefly worked at VHTO, a NGO that aims to increase the participation of women in the STEM sector. Currently, Laura is working as a researcher at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. She is working on research on the societal impact of several initiatives. Additionally, she works on project ideas on the societal impact of (gender) diversity and inclusion, preferably in the education sector.
