My research focuses on curriculum design in higher education. The emphasis is on blended learning, flexible
education and AI in Education. In the projects, the role of the teacher as designer of innovative learning
environments is often a central theme. Additionally, we look at the (perceived) effects of the designed learning environments in terms of student success and how it supports students' learning processes. In our study about flexible education, we analysed the need for flexibility of students, which was used by teachers to create interventions to enhance the level of flexibility in their education. In all studies, both qualitative and quantitative measures are used for answering the research questions.
