In our research, we focus on strengthening the online resilience of vulnerable groups in society, including children (8 to 12 years old), young people (12 to 16 years old), seniors and people with intellectual
disabilities. We help professionals and counsellors with tailor-made interventions to make vulnerable target groups resilient against online crime. Together with our partners, we develop innovative and evidence-based solutions that support vulnerable target groups in the complex digitizing society. We focus on preventing victimization of, among other things, online scams, cyberbullying, unwanted sharing of sexual images, recruitment by criminal organizations and criminal exploitation. In addition, we evaluate interventions within these themes for their effectiveness.
