I hold a PhD in in Empirical Studies of Literature from the University of Vienna and deepened my knowledge on media as a Senior Fellow at the McLuhan Program in Culture and Technology at the University of Toronto. As a freelancer I have initiated and conducted several publicly funded research projects in the field of media, language and art reception.
My research focus lies on the cognitive foundations of artistic creativity and crossmodal media design. Accordingly, I practice a transdisciplinary and systemic research style that integrates knowledge from the humanities with findings from the social and cognitive sciences. Having worked as CEO of Vienna's community radio, I have extensive experience in projects that foster cultural participation, co-creation and media engagement.
