Skills: Ricardo Salgado is Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Coordinates the Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Marine Technologies and the Master's degree in Aquaculture Engineering and Management at IPS. He is an integrated member of the MARE research unit and collaborator of the LAQV-REQUIMTE research unit. He has a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (2011) from FCT NOVA, a master's degree in Ecology, Management and Modelling of Marine Resources (2004) from IST/UTL and a postgraduate degree in Aquaculture (2017) from the University of Huelva. With a background in science and technology applied to the environment and aquaculture, in the last years, he is specialized mainly in the area of micro pollutant removal from wastewater treatment plant, environmental monitoring, biotechnology and aquaculture engineering. He worked in 9 national research projects, 1 international project, co-authored 13 papers in ISI peer-review journals (h-index 9, 660 citations) and his work was presented in 40 communications in international conferences. He supervised 7 MSc thesis, and 3 PhD thesis. He is reviewer in 12 indexed scientific journals.
