Skills: Ieva Gintere (b. 1976, Latvia) is a lead researcher with interdisciplinary research experience at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Ieva has studied at the Paris-10 Nanterre University on a scholarship from the French government (2008) and graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music in 2014 (PhD) majoring in contemporary musicology. At the Latvian Academy of Culture in 2002 Ieva earned a Master of Arts, and at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Latvian University she received a Master of Philosophy degree in 2004. She has lectured in aesthetics and contemporary music in Georgia, Romania, Albania, Armenia, Greece, and Latvia (at the Academy of Culture and Stradiņš’ University in Riga). Ieva cooperates with Art Academy of Latvia, the Center for New Media Culture RIXC and RISEBA / Riga Technical University. Ieva is currently the lead researcher of the project supported by the European Commission, program Creative Europe, ImGame (2022-2025) aiming at development of modern digital art education in the field of immersive aesthetics. She is a scientific supervisor and a team leader of the MSCA4Ukraine project CineGame4Ukraine (2023-2025). As a principal investigator, Ieva has received a research grant from ERDF (Post-doctoral program) to implement the ArtSpace project devoted to the recent artistic styles in the audio-visual field. She currently leads a course in modern aesthetics at the Academy of Music. Her interests are modern education, ways of cross-cutting modern technologies and contemporary art trends. Ieva’s articles included in the Scopus and Web of Science databases represent the research results (2019-2024) concerning the audio-visual trends of recent years such as noise-related sound, glitch in music and visual arts, etc. During the last six years, her track record demonstrates several research papers aiming at development of the serious art game genre.
