Francisco has a PhD in 'Biology and Ecology of Global Changes', where he has conducted his research ever since. He is an Evolutionary Biologist, focused on non-model organisms genomics (mostly adaptation to new/changing environments), who leverages and develops bioinformatics tools to help him (and others!) meet his research goals. Has participated and led research projects. Is interested in pretty much any area of science where his skills can make a difference, but is currently particularly interested in metagenomics, and invasive species research.
