Graduated in Informatics (Bachelor in Mathematics Informatics Modality) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - Brazil), Master's in Systems and Computer Engineering (COPPE - UFRJ Brazil), Ph.D. in Science and Technology/Informatics - University of London (1996), Post-doctoral Internship at Oxford University - Learning Technologies Group (2010) and at the University of Lisbon - Teacher Training and Technologies (2019).
He worked professionally at the Tércio Pacitti Institute of Computational Applications and Research and at the Postgraduate Program in Informatics , both at UFRJ-Brazil. Participates in the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Informatics in Education and the Electronic Journal of the Master's Degree in Environmental Education. Member of the Brazilian Society in Computer Science - Special Committee on Information Technology and Education. Today he develops teaching and research activities in Educational Institutions In 2023 he was approved in a competition for Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal - Portugal.
Has experience in the areas of Computer Science and Education, with an emphasis on Computing Systems for teaching, interested mainly in the following topics: Computer Teaching, Technologies in education, robotics, computational modeling and teaching, distance learning, science teaching with new technologies.
